This bird feeder is design to mount on a platform ( 3"x3" plywood) on a post or any other type of flat surface. You can use mixed seeds for the birds, however it will handle sunflower seeds, too. It feeds up to 6 birds at a time.

This bird feeder has a Country Home appearance, including a front and side porches with handrails, the side porches are the feed areas, simulated boards on all sides, and trim to simulate the windows and door, cedar shake roofs.
This Country Home bird feeder comes plumbed with many drains under the feed area. The right roof lifts up for loading and has a hook to keep it closed during windy days. It is built with 7/8" cedar.
Like all our bird feeders it has a raised dispenser floor to prevent the potential of water seeping in under the birdhouse into the seed storage area.
It has two screw holes in the front corners to secure it to the platform if desired. By removing four screws on the bottom you can take the top off for a complete cleaning.
The front porch seems to be the favorite spot for the birds to await their turn during one of those rainy days.
