This bird feeder is design to mount on a building, tree or pole. You can use small seeds for small birds, however it will handle sunflower seeds, too. It feeds up to 4+ birds at a time.

This bird feeder has a Mountain Log Cabin appearance, including a front porch, handrail, wood shed (feed area), wood for the fireplace, simulated logs on the sides, and trim to simulate the windows and door, a small birdhouse, cedar shake roofs and the chimney to attach the birdhouse to the side of a building or post.
This bird feeder Log Cabin comes plumbed with many drains under the feed area. The front roof lifts up for loading and has a hook to keep it closed during windy days. It is built with 7/8" cedar.
Like all our bird feeders it has a raised dispenser floor to prevent the potential of water seeping in under the birdhouse into the seed storage area.
By removing three screws on the bottom you can take the bottom off for a complete cleaning.
The front porch seems to be the favorite spot for the birds to await their turn during one of those rainy days.
