    Made by a Washington Crafter.

This old barn bird house with a cupola style barn appearance, including simulated wood boards, loft door (bird entrance), hitching rails, windows front and sides and barn doors.

This old cupola barn bird house comes plumbed with three drains and three natural air conditioners (vents), one directly across from the bird entrance hole and one on each side under the roof 1/2" wide by 5" long.  It is insulated with 7/8" cedar.

Like all our barn bird houses it has a raised nesting floor to prevent the potential of water seeping in under the bird house into the nesting area.

By removing three screws on the bottom you can take the bird house off for a complete spring cleaning.

The top of the cupola seems to be the favorite spot for fatherbird when he is looking for a meal for motherbird when she is on the nest or the nestlings.

Specifications:

  • Width 9.50"
  • Nest Area 5" x 5"
  • Depth 11.25"
  • Height 14"
  • Hole Height 6"
  • Hole Size 1.5"
This red barn bird house is designed and best suited for Bluebirds,
however, we have had Swallows, Wrens and Nuthatch renters.
It is designed to be mounted on top of a post.
Bluebird are good neighbors with most other birds and people,
but not other Bluebirds or Starlings, they are fiercely territorial.
You will need to place the next bird house for Bluebirds 300 to 500' apart.
