Dairy Barn Birdhouse

Made by a Washington Crafter.

This birdhouse has a dairy barn (old style milk barn) appearance, including simulated boards, holding corral with fence, windows, front door, barn door, loft door, and a silo.

This birdhouse dairy barn comes plumbed with three drains and two natural air conditioners (vent), 1/2" x 5" slot under each roof. It is insulated with 7/8" cedar.

Like all our barn birdhouses it has a raised nesting floor to prevent the potential of water seeping in under the bird house into the nesting area.

By removing three screws on the bottom you can take the bottom off for a complete spring cleaning.

The roof peak seems to be the favorite spot for fatherbird when standing guard for motherbird when she is on the nest.

This dairy barn birdhouse is designed and best suited for Swallows,
however, we have had Bluebirds, Wrens and Nuthatch renters.
It is designed to be mounted on a building, tree or pole.
Swallows are good neighbors with each other, most other birds and people.
